Social Entrepreneurship

A social entrepreneur is somebody who recognizes a social problem in society, and tries to make a change. Social entrepreneurs use business-like or entrepreneurship principles to achieve a long-term, positive change in society.
Two examples of social entrepreneurs are Susan B. Anthony and Florence Nightingale. Susan B. Anthony advocated women's rights and women's suffrage. Her efforts eventually lead to the 19th amendment, which granted women the right to vote, and more women demanding rights in all aspects of their lives. Florence Nightingale was a nurse who improved hospital conditions and brought new respect to the profession.

  1. It was the first Nobel Prize for Literature in 1991. The winning book was published in the New Yorker, a magazine for writers. It is a great work. Regardless of its popularity, Franci Zavrl has become an extremely popular author.
